For those without Excel who are interested in trying this out, try OpenOffice (
www.openoffice.org). That's what I use for my bankroll spreadsheet, and it handled these additions nicely.
It's free, and mostly compatible with MS Office (only a power user is likely to encounter incompatibilities).
