Anyone who states that they can't spot this material seems to be dismissed as someone who would have just wanted a starting hand chart or tips on how to play a certain hand. Personally, I find this somewhat insulting.

Depsite not seeing the "next level" material, I did very much enjoy the book as a commentary on gambling and its impact on family and society. I also like the pictures and would purchse a hard back version if one were available.

I agree completely with these ideas.
I also agreed with an earlier post that it seems to address different audiences at the same time (beginners and high-level experts).

I don't think Barry needs to point-out specifically what aspects are the 'take it to the next level' parts.
I think we're talking about the ideas he has about other players and their motivations for gambling..etc etc.
But I too would be interested in reading other readers' ideas of what parts of the book helped them the most.

Again, I found MUCH of the book to be pretty interesting (when it wasn't too 'fluffish' imo) and I really was digging the hand-examples.
But I'm more specifically interested in other readers' thoughts on this 'take it to the next level' aspect and what parts/ideas were helping them do this the most.
