Chris from Myspace here... After getting back from my small event at the WSOP and having a great experience with every poker player I encountered (pros and guys like me), it's sick looking at all the hate going on here.
I'm sick to my stomach reading the haterade posts about Kwaz. We're talking about a guy who could be seriously hurt, and it's tough to read the completely desensitized comments that some people are posting here. I'll be the first to eat my words if Kwaz is scamming, but get some hard evidence before you rip a guy who could be seriously hurt. A group of you have already all but completely shut down his myspace forum, and I think it's sick to continue to berate a player who could seriously be hurt. Look up his address and show up with a camera a-la "Cheaters"? It's one thing to push someone's buttons online, but when you talk about showing up on someone's doorstep, that's some serious harassment.
After coming back from the Rio and meeting some of the guys that the 2+2 OOT people claim as their own (Raymer, etc.), I know that the true players really do respect and care about each other. I wish that you would do the same.

Chris,
You are right in that there has been some disrespect posted on this thread. Some of it is probably in poor taste, but if you'll notice, the first few posts on the thread showed concern for his well-being.
After someone pointed out the discrepancy between Mr. Kozar's accident on 7/7/05 and his performing in the WSOP on 7/8/05 to early AM 7/9/05 people started getting riled up.
Without looking back at what people have written, I think it's not unreasonable if you think some of the comments are in bad taste.
But all this would have been nipped in the bud if ANY verifiable information had come out. Kwazar's fundraising friend won't disclose the hospital name (and in one e-mail claims to not know the hospital name). Kwazar's fundraising friend also says there's a explanation to the timeline discrepancy listed above -- but won't provide the simple explanation. Another poster here says he called all the LV hospitals and found no one by Mr. Kozar's name listed.
It is entirely reasonable that these issues will be explained, and all we'll have learned is that Kwazar's friend played in his place at the WSOP and that everything else has simply been poorly communicated in a time of grief and stress by friends and family.
Frankly, because the injuries as described are so significant, I would almost find it a relief for his physical well-being to find out it is a scam.

You express my thoughts exactly. Good post.
