I agree, but isn't the $100 tip just a jerk move? Isn't it just better to leave nothing and say "the tip was already taken out of the prize pool". What is the point to $100?

Like they previously said he is Aussie and doesn't know all the unwritten rules of tipping. But anyways $100 to a lot of people is a lot of money and buys plenty of stuff.
That being said this issue always arises and I think there is a ridiculous amount of pressure on the winner just because he won a large sum. Look at the Stolzman (sp?) incident.
Anyways the vig is sick nowadays so I don't see why any winner needs to tip tens of thousands or else he'd be villified.
Recently I played at Commerce and dealers would give this stupid silly smirk when someone tipped them a peach .50 chip. I don't get it, I'd never be ungrateful for FREE money and I would assume .50 adds up
