Re: Vancouver
for casinos, just go straight for the river rock in richmond. about 20 min drive from the downtown core.
for restaurants, aki (japanese) and tropika (malaysian) are two of my favorites both of which can be found downtown.
nightclubs depend entirely on your taste of music but the ones on granville st. like caprice/skybar/plaza are generally meat markets with a decent amount of chicks of varying shapes and sizes on the weekends. you can also try plush at the plaza of nations downtown. i prefer going to bar none when they have a dj playing deep house since it is generally the hottest people in town partying.
i don't think the slopes for the local mountains (cypress, grouse, seymour) are open since we haven't had dick for snow. whistler/blackcomb is open though at least for glacier skiing. check snow reports online.
for greens just meet people in clubs/pubs. nearly everyone in this city smokes. im not sure if the cafe still operates on hastings st. where they let you sit down and have a few tokes but if it is open, you can find some ther easily.
is there anything specific you'd like to indulge in? tons of things to do in the city if you have the time, money and inclination.
