why are winners expected to tip at all ?
EVERY player in the main event has already contributed $200 to the floor and dealers, a total of over $1 million, so why is the winner supposed to tip some ridiculous amount ?
Why doesn't anyone ask why ANYTHING is taken out of the prize pool when ESPN is already paying Harrah's money for the broadcast rights. Harrah's cleans up, ESPN gets one of it's highest rated shows of any kind, but the participants are still providing not only the prize pool but also the dealers' wages.
I don't see Tiger Woods and Ernie Els putting up the money they are playing for and then tipping all the officials and groundskeepers after they win.
