With regard to reads:
1. Use Pokertracker + PokerAceHUD to get stats overlayed on the tables.
2. Get a big monitor. I have the Dell 2001FP 20" LCD which can show 4 full-size tables with no overlap. You'll soon find it easy to move your attention to the table with action and I am able to take notes on people while I 4-table.
