i just read this thread just now... is it at all possible that player b doesn't use the 4 color deck and thought he actually had a flush draw (and pounded it on the turn) and thought he hit a flush on the river so he raised? i know i have done that a couple of times, not at these stakes of course.

i agree with josh, if player a made a big laydown, then this may not be as bad as it appears, though it does look bad no matter how you cut it.
