The poll already shows that most people are against it and if it is instituted most will either post less in both or ignore A&E...if you can show any kind of scientific support for your argument please do so (for instance, ask whether people would be opposed to trying this on an experimental basis with the ability to change it back, create focus groups composed of a random sample of people from the site and interview them about possible changes on AIM/videoconference, pretty much anything a business would do before deciding to drastically change a successful business formula).

Also, for the point that we can change it back if it's not working...who would decide that it's not working? If the majority of the posters don't like it will it be changed back? If we are going to listen to the majority then why wouldn't we listen to the majority now and save the trouble? If Mat is just going to decide it arbitrarily anyways, then why bother asking us in the first place?
