88 just kicked my ass tonight. It seemed like everytime I had 88 I would lose a big pot. To top it off I...

Re: Closest you have come to dying

Its been almost 6 years. The most obvious way that it affects my everyday life is that I take medications everyday so that my immune system doesn't attack the heart. But in terms of my outlook on...

LONG STORY. Cliff notes at the bottom.

Re: AK flops 2 pair, how to extract?

I think him calling your almost pot-sized bet on the flop, indicates that he will probably call your turn bet also, so there isn't as much need to try to trap him by trying the checkraise. And I...

Re: Suited connectors out of position

But at the same time, doesn't putting in the extra BB, commit more of your money whan you have less information? For example, say I decide to raise from late position with a speculative hand like...

What I meant was that almost all of my raises are 3BB. The raises are only bigger if there are limpers ahead of me.

Re: Suited connectors out of position

Thanks. A little off topic, but I was wondering, why do you suggest a bigger raise preflop. I used to usually raise 4bb preflop. But from my experience I seem to get an almost equal FE with the 3bb...

Re: Good fold with KQ?

The UTG limp and then raises on the flop and turn make me think set, or maybe QJ. But the turn bet doesn't make much sense.

Re: Suited connectors out of position

true. I couldn't put him on, AK, though, because the flop bet seemed too strong. Instead I had him on an overpair or AQ. The pf reraise suggested to me that he wanted action. Also, I was wondering...

Re: 15k gtd hand

Maybe I'm missing something. But how is it so clear to you guys that he has 77? Aren't A10+ also reasonable possibilities? Or maybe he is putting you on a c-bet and trying to push you out? How has...

Re: WCOOP $1050 NL. QQ in MP

I would put in a re-raise. Even with the tight table, that looks to me like a continuation bet as much as anything. I think it is at least an easy call, but I would reraise to put some pressure on...

Re: Sweat a 2+2 newb (4/180 FT)
