Party points for depositing not capped?

i just looked at my points statement and see that i was given another 1000 points for a deposit i made last week. i had already received 2000 points during April.

is this a usual Party balls up or is it just the initial 2000 points that count towards moving up levels?

For technical reason we ended up starting the cap on points May 1st. Get those points while you can and Enjoy!
