Too Much Value in the over pair
 

Tilting a little here, but whats the best line to take on the flop. Get rid of the hand on the flop reraise, take the hand to the turn?

That 3-bet is only getting called by a better hand. So FE does not apply unless you consider making a worse hand fold in which defeats the whole purpose of the game.

All you have is JJ. It is not uncommon at all to call a raise with a big overpair. I wouldn't be suprised if he has QQ here. Also mid PP's are the ideal "calling of the raise" hand.

If you had a set of 8's here, would you play this hand in this fashion?

Usually, its set trying to rep pair+oesd. You figure you're 55%, get it in, he shows you 55

No. If he's raised with pair+oesd, hell call your allin while behind because hes getting odds. That being said, your basic point that if he calls, he either is about a coin flip or has you crushed is valid.

Often times yeah. Obviously you're not getting away from this hand ever, but the question will turn 9, 4, 6, 7 or 8 make opponent shut it down if you call on flop? Thats 18 cards you dont want to see. If you're opponent is a sort of "thinking but misapplying concepts" kind of guy, i definitely like a flop raise. He'll read you for draw, wanto to charge you and get it in.
