Funniest thing ever in a poker room
 

I am sitting at the poker room at Harrahs New Orleans when the following happens. The board reads QQ552. A lady bets and another guy behind her raises. The lady didnt know she was raised. She turns her cards over and shows a queen for queens full. The dealer tells the lady that she has been raised. With her cards still face up, she says "I raise" again. The guy who raised looks down at her cards and says "Oh my God, shes got the queen. I call." He proceeds to turn his cards up showing a five (fives full). I was thinking WTF? I said to him "you are sitting there looking at queens full and you still called?" He says "Im sorry but Im not going to fold a full house." Instant classic.

Funny, but still not as funny as someone putting his cards down the money chute.

We were missing 2 cards on a blackjack game when we closed it at the end of the night. We could not figure out where they went. We called the camera, and finally they figured out that a player had bet a match play coupon and got a blackjack. The dealer took the coupon and the cards, and dropped the whole mess into the drop box. Nobody even noticed it when it happened.

Not strictly poker, but it did happen in a poker room...

Back in 1992 when the casinos in St. Louis first opened, riverboats were actually required to be on the water so they converted the old entertainment boat the Admiral into a casino. The ship was barely seaworthy so they permanently moored it at the dock while all the other casinos had to actually take a trip each session.

I was playing 1-4 stud (sigh…) and some older lady asked the dealer, “Sir, does this ship ever sail?” His reply, “Lady, if this ship ever moves we’re all in a lot of trouble!”

Forward about a year during the floods of 1993… When the water level got too high all but one of the mooring cables snapped and the thing did a 180 and started floating down the river! Now that’s funny!

This one didnt take place in a poker room, but at a 20 man tournament house game that we threw a year ago.
We invited a few ppl in from the outside that we had not played with before and this happened.....

Board was Q 2 3 8 T

A friend of mine raises a bet on the river with top pair and an Ace and a guy pushes all-in on him...

While hes thinking the guy turns to someone next to him and asks "Wait... Do straits wrap around?" Before anyone could even laugh, my buddy had his chips in the pot and yelled "call!" and flipped over A-Q

The guy had AK for a Q-K-A-2-3 wrap-around strait. Needless to say he walked out a little embarrassed and we still get a laugh about it to this day.

The first I ever played poker, I thought I had a wrap-around straight.
