Aaaargh, ugly spot with trips (semi-deep)

Party 100NL (Full Ring)

Background:

Villain opens alot of pots pre-flop w/ a standard raise of 4 from any position. Once I noticed this, I loosened my standars for playing w/ him and called him a few times pre-flop. I've played 4 HU pots villain (3 OOP, 1 in pos) and have taken away each one from him w/ a similar pattern. Villain raises pf, I call his flop c-bet and I take it away later once he shows weakness.

He has played only one hand that really stood out. 4 people limp and see a flop of 652 (2hearts), 2 checks, he bets half pot, one caller, turn A, he bets 45 into a pot of like 8, other guy calls (all-in) w/ just a flush draw, villain had A4o.

Onto the hand in question (I'm doing this from memory).

Stacks: ~160
Hand: 97o (my suits don't matter)

Pre-flop:
Villain opens for 4 from EP or EMP, Hero (BB) calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Pot(~8)
Hero checks, Villain bets 4, Hero makes it 14, Villain calls

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Pot(~36)
Hero bets 25, Villain raises to 116 (all in)

Hero furiously types random letters into the chat, now what?

Judging on your previous reads I think it's safe to call here. Villain's probably on A5o, or has a draw. Pray for a board pair on the river to be safe.

It is interesting, it's just bloody hard to know what to do here.

Given your read i would call this.

He had pushed on a board similar with marginal holdings before, so he could be holding many things. Though hard to put him on a range, i would guesstimate you are ahead most of the time here.

Only problem with this is that he was the aggressor on the other hand, this time he is pushing against a someone showing strenght.

RESULTS!

I called and rivered a nine to crack his straight, ship it!

I think a lead flop then 3-bet if he raises would work best on this flop.

Turbo muck preflop. Terrible hand. Terrible position. Now call the all-in and live with results.
