$11 -- PP Level 2, JJ : Call the push reraise from tilty LAG?
SB had been involved in tons of hands, pushing TPTK L1, calling pushes, and had just suffered a nasty beat with a flopped flush that he slowplayed getting sucked out on by a guy with 72o who made his boat. I would think he's probably on tilt, from his angry chat. Even so, he's pushing over a raise and a reraise, call?

Sorry to bump my own thread, but from the lack of response, am I an idiot and this is a clear fold? Thanks.

I wouldn't be re-raising with jacks in this spot.

[/ QUOTE ] Perhaps good advice, but you still didn't answer him Just because you wouldn't get in this situation..he IS in it. Cmon now tig, take it easy on us I would probably fold this in the spot you're in. Not much for odds, and you probably do NOT have him dominated (TT-) so I think you lay down. Eh, eh? |
Re: $11 -- PP Level 2, JJ : Call the push reraise from tilty LAG?
If he's that much of a crazy nutter, I'd probably call. But I'd have needed to see him shove all-in a few times or at least made ridiculous raises on flops with almost nothing to feel happy about it.

Re: $11 -- PP Level 2, JJ : Call the push reraise from tilty LAG?
Would you flat call the minraise from MP1 to play for set value? I may be getting a little too excited when I see these PPs, but at the 11s I don't usually give the minraisers too much credit.

I wouldn't have reraised with JJ either, but honestly, from your description of him and the situation and the fact that this is an $11, I would call. I think the chances are significantly increased that you're way ahead.

[/ QUOTE ] I would flat call, but who said about playing for set value? The reason for not re-raising is your position, and what position you're likely to be in post flop as and when anyone calls after you. You have to always consider future streets, not just the one you are on currently. |

[/ QUOTE ] My thinking with the reraise was that I would be eliminating any weak aces that might have called the minraise, or I could win the pot right there. This is a pretty standard play for me, which is probably a standard chip spew and I need to plug it up immediately and consider my position more carefully when playing these mid-hi pp's. |
Re: $11 -- PP Level 2, JJ : Call the push reraise from tilty LAG?
Why do you want to eliminate weak aces, considering you are 70% against them?
