1/2 T8s 4 card straight board

MP is Loose passise about 60-2-0.7 after 30 hands
MP likes to call down and hope to hit.

Co is Loose passive about 60-0-0.3 after 28 hands.
Co lets hands often go on the flop. But will stay if
he has some little pease of it.

Re: 1/2 T8s 4 card straight board

I don't like overcalling in a small pot when a passive player bets a coordinated board. Also, I prefer betting to check-calling, which is my least favorite choice.

My reasoning

My reasoning at the time was that I had 4 outs to a full house in case somebody had a straight, and I might also have the best hand (I din't even think about the possible split cards J and 6). But I would like to get cheaply to showdown, so by checking I would hopefully get to see showdown for just one bet and not be raised by a made straight.

So your plan depended on somebody checking their straight on the river? Bad assumption. Also, four outs is not even close to justifying a call if you're behind.

If you're against a six only, then you have 3.5 outs to split. If you're against a jack and no queens are out, then you have 1.5 outs. So best case scenario is you have 7.5 outs, which still isn't enough to justify calling.

Re: My reasoning

I was meaning that it would only cost me one bet to get to the river if I check and call the turn. I used showdown wrong.

On the river i was planing to fold if it was bet again and I din't improve.
