PC Video Game Help

Hi - need some help - I am looking for a PC video game that would be suitable for a 8 year old girl (and not Barbie or anything like that, they make those games too easy) - ideally a non violent action/adventure type game would be great (not too violent, and not too easy) - any suggestions?

Thanks - af

She loves video games, but she lives in Sweden and does not really know what games there are (she is my daughter - we have played Shrek and Shrek 2 - both were perfect but I am out of ideas as I do not really play video games) - and it is OK if it is a little violent (just not over the top)......

eh, I guess you could keep with the movie theme, games like spiderman and all those other ones. I doubt they are any good, but I honestly wouldnt know.

If she really loves video games, you could also try setting her up with some old school stuff. Like some of the old nintendo games, like super mario bros and stuff. You can get an emulator and play any of that stuff on a PC

Thats a pretty good idea (Super Mario type games) - do they sell that for PC's? I never thought they would - af

I know this isn't what you asked, but you should seriously consider getting a PS2, an eye-toy, and a dance-mat and game for the PS2. The kids absolutely love these.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown

My roommate got the demo for this game as sortof a joke sometime last week, but the game is actually pretty good. It's simple, fun, for kids, obviously, and also happens to be rather pretty. I think it's exactly what you're looking for.
