hey heifer,

I play it the same up to the river. On the river this is actually a good spot for a spicyf-style c/r-foldto3bet.

I don't like bet-call because when you are raised you are invariably behind, but not enough to fold. Plenty of worse 2pairs are in his range, i'm too lazy/tired to range him out but i think there's value in a c/r assuming you can fold to a 3bet. If you can't just c-c.

I check/call and expect to be beaten. Although he could have a worse two pair, the straight draw and the flush draws got there on the turn and, besides, there is no guarantee he is raising that turn with worse two pair hands.

Have a lost my mind?

Thanks,
Cartman

Perhaps this is overly passive, but have you considered chk-calling the turn? Then if he checks the turn, bet out on the river...

Why would you want to bet into this turn? Is there value in that?

If the game in general is passive, I think check-call is better than check-raise-fold. Why try to make the game more aggressive by folding after a check-raise? It sends a signal that you might be bluffing.

In an aggressive game, check-raise-fold works better, and your table image won't change the game much.
