Was my bet too big here? I wanted to get some kind of action from anyone who paired or make them think i was on a steal, but also wanted to push anyone drawing at the flush out...not sure if it was the right amount or if it was too high.

I knew he paired his Q (he would have raised with an overpair pre flop), so when the next Q hit and he checked it, I knew he was trapping. Should i have bet? I was thinking if i checked it down like i was scared of the Qs he'd try to either value bet or overbet the river. I was thinking if i bet and he raised and i called it would look a little suspicious...

Read "The Turn Value Check With Position" article in this week's 2+2 Magazine.

In short, it's often a good move for various reasons depending on the opponent.

I woulda gone all-in on the river though (looks more like the missed hand bluff you're representing).
