Wynn vs. Bellagio... OK, OK, I\'m convinced
 

For those of you that know me, I've been a big Bellagio fan for a couple of years, based mostly on the quality of the games and I also like staying at the B.

During this trip, I probably played as much at the Wynn as at the Bellagio. My expericence is that the Wynn 30 game is a fair amount more passive than it's Bellagio counterpart. Maybe it's due to some of the Mirage style regulars in the game, but the variance is not nearly so dramatic and it's much easier to figure out where you are in a hand. That's a very good thing for those of us that are a bit "hand reading and Bayesian challenged"

Even better, I was introduced to the swing shift mangager, we chatted for a bit and I very easily got 2 full comps for the buffet, not the Bellagio $15 credit that costs you $5 to get.

I'll be back in May and will be staying at the Wynn.

Yea, I really enjoyed Wynn last time. As long as I know they will always at least have 30, I am staying there next time. Very nice place to play and love those deli sandwiches.

The two nights I played the 30-60 at the Wynn last month, the game was "average" in passivity/aggression tightness/looseness the first night (despite the presence of Clarkmeister and Gonores in the game, which, of course, also made it not a great game) and wild, loose, aggressive the next. That second night, one regular accused another of being tight, so they cut the deck for a thousand dollars. You can imagine how the game was from there.

My company made the belts the dealers wear, so make sure you compliment them on them next time you're there.

Barry you are going to love the rooms! I used to stay at the Bellagio until last year. The casino floor, entrace areas, common areas, etc. are just as nice as the Bellagio.

But every detail was better inside the room (except no view of the fountain). The bed linen was the nicest I have ever seen. Flat screen televisions in the bedroom and bathroom. Huge firm beds and lots of pillows. Nicer towels, bathrobes and slippers than Bellagio.

When I was there they had trouble spreading the 30/60 game and for a while even the 15/30 game was broken. I complained to the floor about having to put in my time in the 4/8 game and they told me don't worry about it. I thought that was a class move (then I walked out and blew my brains out at the blackjack table).

I never got comped for food but the matzoh ball soup at the table service was excellent, as was the Reuben sandwich.

The rooms are extremely nice, as good or better than Bellagio with easier-to-obtain poker rates and cheaper, to boot.

They're comfortable, its just that when I sit there for a long time my legs get sweaty (sp?)
