3way - TAG check, insta-shoves my TPMK on a paired board
 

The table had just broken down from 6 players to the 3 of us.

Villain is 20/17/4.8 after 1400 hands.

He'd recently been pretty active. 3betting me a couple times preflop, raise/4betting me off a hand, and playing postflop quite aggressively (as usual).

On this hand, he insta-shoved after I bet. Do you call?

Hmmmm. I folded on this hand, but I actually think I might've been ahead.

My cb% is 90+%. I think he shoves a lot of pocket pairs + some hands like AQ. I'll be calling the next time for sure.

i think its closer then it looks at first glance.. i lean towards calling but i'm a station. does k9=Kq here?

bvb its pretty close, i dont know if i can fold it. I dont mind a flop check behind at all though.

if villain has AK, KQ he wants to get max value, i doubt he wd check raise as he's not getting action from hands he beats.

hard to put him on a 3, to me, this screams he has a PP or air, and he is pulling a move knowing u cant call without a king - esp with his agression factor which is relatively high.

i dont hate a fold, but i can see a call here for metagame ldo.

With this being a 3-bet pot, I'd definitely consider calling.. it depends on what hands with a king he calls with preflop. Probably folds KJ and below, maybe has KJ. He probably shoves AK preflop - he's pretty aggressive it looks like. So like, I think this is aces or a middle pocket pair making a move, and there are way more combos of a middle pocket pair than there are of aces.

check flop, as played, call. If your CBet% is 90+, you're betting this flop with air alot. His shove is more consistent with a medium pocket pair A/x than a better king. FWIW, if you're betting this flop and folding everything but KJ+, I'm check/shoving any two... read this as "if you're betting this flop with a king, you must call a shove".
