Double Barrel Bluff...Bad?

Villain is 24/18/4.0 reg at 1/2NL on Stars.
Hero ($207), Villain ($512)

Hero raises UTG to $8 with 22. Villain reraises to $26 on the button, hero calls.

Flop: A66 rainbow. Hero bets $45...Villain times down and calls.

Turn: 4 completing rainbow. Hero moves in for $136...Villain times down and calls with QQ.

I was 100% sure he didnt have an Ace...should I crai on flop, give up, or is this line fine?

fold preflop. c/f flop. Why were you 100% sure he didn't have an A?

Would you ever play AK/AQ or a 6 this way?

Yes...I would play all those that way...and b/c I have played 10000 hands with this guy and he doesnt reraise with Ax anything unless its AA. Folding pf is a good option...but im getting about 9 to 1 to flop a set and stack him off, and more if I count bluff outs with the Ace.

pf not good

flop terrible. given the way the games run these days, you'll get called by kk/qq/any ace/etc.

if you're bluffing this guy because he's been 3-betting you a lot, he's probably going to be aware of his image and realise that you might try and bluff him.

But you stacked off with 22 when the A hit.

Edit: Also, if you play AK/AQ or a 6 that way, it must because you expect to get paid off. If that's the case, how is bluffing with 22 consistent with that line of thinking?

that doesn't actually matter. You could make a good vb and a good bluff in the same spot. In this case his calling range could be > betting range. So playing AQ/AK/6 for value could be good. However, he still could fold enough to make this a profitable bluff too.

I don't hate the flop op, but you know villain much better then we do. if he 3b light this could be ok. however i should say if you're trying to fold out TT+ you won't. I'd probably give up on the turn though. pf is a definite fold.

At what point?

How else do you expect him to play an A?
