Villian is 16/12/5 over 250 hands. I'm trying to learn to 8 table (I usually do 6) so I didn't have as much of a read on him as I might like, he raised a few of my c-bets but thats it.

This is a massive bet but I just can't imagine what he could possible have that qould check turn and crai river when I looked so weak that its hard to imagine he was counting on me betting river... Thoughts? Anyone care to put him on a range?

I don't think a turn check is necessarily bad; the king will scare a lot of weaker pairs into folding to a bet on the turn, but those pairs might pay off a blank river if the turn checks through. I don't think betting is bad either, fwiw, but I can see the argument for checking as well.

I agree his bet sizing sucks but is there even any value on the river here? I would typically check behind

Please don't check turn AND river, you should be getting value here and its not particularly thin.
