Shorties

Just a quick snapshot of $1/2 NLHE 6-max on PokerStars: 61 active tables, 60 players with <$75 at the table.

1. Is this a problem, or is it simply part of the game.
2. What actions do you take when confronted with shorties?
3. Is shortie a viable strategy in online poker?

part of the game, tighten up preflop, and yes but people will hate you

Shorties are extremely annoying, I love sucking out on them then hearing them cry though.

also, in addition to what tuba said, being a bit more aggressive helps when pushing them around

I dont mind shorties b/c they rarely float so c-bets work more and they often stack off tp no kicker, what not. Kind of a fan

Yah, I hate when I multitable then call a raise not realizing its some small stack wherein I cant make any monies when I hit my ragssss. So frustrating.....

Re: Shorties

1. not a problem, as most shorties are playing FAR FAR more loosely preflop than ideal strategy would suggest.

2. tighten up PF

3. yes, if you can do it. but you won't progress as quickly, and if you're anyway better than most players, you'll make considerably less money than you would playing a full stacj.
