Cake Poker / PPC Emulation

I'm using a PowerBook G4 and have Virtual PC 7 installed with Windows XP. I'm trying to leave Full Tilt so that I can receive rakeback, but have read too much about AP's shotty practices, which is basically the only other "decent" site with a mac client. I'm in the US, so I'm limited to only a few sites, namely UB, Party (FPPs), and Cake. I'm not sure how fast PT will run in a virtual environment, so when choosing somewhere to build a new roll (starting at 100NL), is Cake my best bet? Cake allows players to change their nickname each week. Is this something that alot of players do? Will I be leaving alot of money on the table by not using PT? Any thoughts/experiences from anyone?

Cake is a good site with good games at least in part because it does not support PT. The bonuses and rakeback are quite nice also.
However it has the worst software of any site and it has definitely cost me buy-ins in the past. It hangs quite often and is very slow once you start running many tables, the windows are quite large, the tables do not pop up in any order so it's easy to timeout with overlapping tables, I have to shut off my firewall to play multiple tables because of a bug, the list goes on and on. I honestly doubt that it would not be very slow in a virtual environment, but who knows.

Stay away from cake until they fix their software. The last two updates make the games unplayable for me and many others.

Do you mean Stars?

BTW Absolute owns UB.

hahaha good luck. like everyone else here said, the software is terrible. it barely runs natively on windows.

Pokeraddict - Yes, I meant Stars. Oops.

I thought UB owned AP, or at least that that was the way it merged. More on this? Does UB change their bonus/rakeback terms nonstop?

Thanks for the heads-up on Cake's software. I'll see what I can do.
