developed into a complex society.... Why aren't there fish societies, using ATM cards, and working at Coral Reef Complexes in the ocean.... Out of all the species on earth, only humanoids have developed into something that has the potential to affect and control the rest of the world and it's inhabitants...

Some reasons may be:

Physically because we have large brains, prehensile thumbs and can walk upright.

Sociologically because we operate in social groups and can hunt and farm co-operatively.

Spiritually because God delegated it to us...

Actually if you compare to them to say...rocks, most life on earth have pretty damn complex societies.
