Maybe not "all-time:, but the last 30-40 years.

Any arguments with these four being the teams being the most loved and the most hated in MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA in last 30-40 years?


New York Yankees
Dallas Cowboys
Montreal Canadiens
Los Angeles Lakers

If not, which teams get replaced?

Sounds right, maybe the Leafs in hockey though.

No way on the Bulls. They just had that one title run in the early/mid 90s. The Lakers have been loved and hated for decades and still are today(just bring up Kobe). Does anyone really hate the current Bulls?

Nah...most people who don't like the leafs, just feel sorry for them - don't hate them...lol.

Seriously, though, I think you have had to put up some serious domination in that period to get on a "hated" list.

for hockey i'd go with the devils over the last 15 years - habs and flyers lay claim to the title before that - although it's hard for a hockey team to be both loved and hated since the sport is so regional.

football it has to be the goddamn cowboys and their obnoxious nationwide fanbase

Yeah, I was going to mention that the Flyers of the 70s and 80s and maybe even the Oilers through the 80's might be in the running just a little bit.

The Raiders were probably competitive with the Cowboys in this through the 70s and 80s. Maybe the Steelers as well. Obviously they have a big fan-base. I'm a bit out of the loop on how hated they might be elsewhere because I've always been a Bengals fan so I've always hated them.


In today's game I think some teams that are competitive in this might be:
Mets
Patriots
Mavericks
Red Wings
