Vancouver - cheap lodgings?
 

I will be going to Vancouver the second week of October this year. I'll be there for 3-5 days.

I have heard/read about River Rock and Edgewater for poker (Omaha - woo hoo!).

I am trying to find cheap lodging. Cheap, but safe.

Any suggestions? Or warnings?

Any first hand information would be helpful.

I plan to play some poker. And if I need to stay a bit to grind out a poker room rate, that is okay as well. But I also want to check out the city and see the sights (thinking of possibly moving there in the future).

I will have a car, so transportation will not be that big of a problem.
