10NL 6 Max FT JJ (overpair)

Meh, pp's from the blinds with multiple limpers..nasty eh?
I'd recently joined the table.. minimal reads and no history with any of them. From what I could tell looking at showdown hand histories the two others in the hand called too much in the previous few hands.
I'd like to hear some thoughts on the hand/other options/bet sizes etc.
I'm kinda unhappy with river bet size, but wanted to make myself feel more comfortable folding to a shove for whatever reason. I'd guess $4-5.50 would've been better?
Turn check rationale was that UTG could've flopped a set and flat called, hoping to raise all in on turn...reasonable?
His subsequent check behind made me happier to value bet for calls from A6 type hands, don't think 5's, other than ******fives were a big part of their ranges

You have to bet the turn, board is way to drawy/connected and too many scare cards can come off on the riv to let him draw for ree.

I think thats a bad spot to make a value bet. Any small connecters now beat you like 67, 56, 64, etc. I think you should have continued betting turn and check/call that nasty river (depending on bet size too)

Ty for responses guys
Ok, say we bet $4.60 on the turn, what are the options if we are raised? I'd be very inclined to lay it down, should that happen.
Doesn't it more or less commits us to the hand, with one pair, if UTG flat calls again and we have $6-ish effective stacks and a pot of around $16+ on the river.
My main aim in these situations is usually to show the hand down as it is so good versus the ranges of people who limp- call so much, getting value along the way if I feel it is there. In this particular hand, there is definitely a good reason to bet the turn, charging villains for their draw, but I'd also be happy to keep the pot moderately small and see how UTG reacts. Is this crazy/bad?
Jw, not sure how nasty the 4 is, I was ok with it tbh. If someone wants to call the pfr and c-bet with something like 64 or 65 etc, good luck to them, but I was thinking hands like A2-A7,k2-k7 etc would be getting involved, more than the really small connectors. Erm, sorry. Bump for new people to read the last post, still had some questions. Also, is it too shameless to say I'm also doing this because Aj seems to be about and he posts goot?
