We all talk about how we "love" Mattusow because he's so funny or that Phil makes a "great villain" and that Neagreanu is a "great guy" (well, actually, a lot of 2+2 pisses on Neagreanu, but whatever). However, let's face it, much of this conversation is painted by the rosy colour of a heap of cash.

Let's say that your top pro was really just a 5/10NL grinder at your local casino. He plays reasonably well and has a consistent profit margin, but he's by no means doing tremendously, for whatever reason. Which of them would you rather play with?

I'd play with someone who is pretty quiet because even a "funny" guy like Negreanu or Matusow would get old after a while ( I'm assuming we are playing with this pro every night for at least a year). Seriously, Negreanu has an annoying laugh and I couldn't take after a while. Ivey is really quiet so I would want to play with him. And I would want him to have immediate position on me. That way I could expect to lose every time I played and worrying about winning money wouldn't get in the way of me enjoying myself.

lol at flaming your own post. i couldn't play with any of the guys that act like babies...it doesn't bother me personally, but i hate it when people who know what they're doing criticize others who don't.

i'd play with cunningham, ivey, antonius, or townsend. i know some people find him annoying, but i like andy black as well (yeah, i know he's not a "top pro").

I'm going to go with Gus Hansen.

It would be "tough," but in a good way - play would remain interesting and there wouldn't be a hint of drama, win or lose. Chances are there will be some discussion about women and soccer that doesn't involve overly personal expressions of sexual want within the first five minutes.
