floormen

Does anyone know how much floormen make. What the salary range? I always assumed they make a lot more than dealers, but other than that, I have no clue.

About 10k to 90k a year. Same as the dealer thread

I'm just guessing, but I would think they make between 40-70K.

I would say at least 75% of floors make less then the dealers no matter where youre talking about. Mostly depends on time of service.

A regular Borgata dealer was working the floor last Saturday. I asked him if he got a promotion but he said no, he just works one shift a week as floor. He said he doesn't like it too much--the time passes more slowly and he makes less money.

A lotta dealers do the dual-rate thing, it seems, to kinda test the waters, open a few more options, and break up the monotony. But they all recognize they make less doing that, so unless you are intending to work your way up the corporate ladder, or just (somehow) enjoy doing a job with more responsibility and less pay, there's not much reason to be a floor.

I know at least one floor who's there because the market for dealers is glutted. He said it was much easier to get a job flooring than dealing. It apparently really can be tough for rooms to find folks with experience and ability to take a fulltime floor job.

17 bucks an hour plus tips is standard in CA. Some of the more senior guys at the commerce and Bike make about $27 an hours + tips + this nifty little white envelope that appears sometimes... my roommate is a floorman
