Is this Computer Fast Enough?
 

I'm having problems with my laptop, and hoping that my old desktop is fast enough to 6 table while running PT and PAHUD with a RAM upgrade... It's a Pentium 4 1.6 GHz processor with 256 MB RAM.. If I upgraded to 1 GB of RAM, would this be fast enough? What about 2 GB?

I would guess not. But it is just a guess. PT and PAHUD have a lot of data to crunch.

probably not... from what I've seen personally you need much newer processor(core 2 and above would be preferable) and 2 Gb of RAM at the minimum probably.

More RAM is a good thing. I have a 2.1GHz P4 with 2GB RAM, runs fine.

op, I routinely run two poker clients (party and UB) play 4 tables,and have PT and PA HUD on all the time. Usually have outlook Ex., Opera and media player open at the same time. My system is a 1.6GHz P4 with 1 gig of ram and I never have lag issues.

Upgrade to a gig of ram use a SQL database with PT, keep it defragged and I predict you will be in okay shape.

i datamine 16+ tables on a 1.4ghz athlon with 1gb RAM and a 5400rpm hardrive. It runs fine.
