QQ and A on flop?

I had no specific read. Villain's raise says "ace". Is calling spew here? I tended more to fold on the flop. Is that too weak?

The first time someone does this, I just bet-fold the flop. Pay attention to this guy and see what sorts of hands he's willing to raise on the flop.

I would try to check/raise the flop, at least that may give us a free card.

We have only two outs to improve. And, how do you know he will bet, given the PF action?

It's rather KQ, KJ, QJ who will get a free card if the flop gets checked thru.

Will he give you a free card if he has an ace? If he hasn't got an ace, why do you want a free card? If he has a king, or KJ, do you want to give him a free card?

How are you planning to check-raise? WHOM are you going to check-raise on the flop if you are the preflop raiser?
Good luck getting a free card OOP here if villain really has an ace.

Without reads, I don't have a problem laying this down. Pot is small. We are most probably toast.

LMAO... really WTF?

stop the fancy play....and quit trying to out-think non-thinking opponents!

I would either fold, or reraise, depending on the villain and how he plays. Almost never would I call, and continue playing OOP.

Re: QQ and A on flop?

Without any sort of read, I just fold this to the flop raise. If he raises a lot of flops or with a lot of hands that aren't top pair, then I'm playing on.

If it checks through, we're most likely ahead and don't need a free card.

Say, we are against a known tricky aggressive opponent, who would raise here with an Ace, a ten, or a seven.
What is the benefit of raising vs calldown?
