DeltaPlex in Grand Rapids

Can anyone give me a review of this site. Specifically, I am curious about the type of games offered, various limits, and rake structure. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but that doesn't really give me a review. I was hoping that someone could talk about their experience.

Plenty of action to be had at Delta Plex, particularly since The Duece in Standale got shut down.

Cash games feature as many as 4 or 5 1-2 NLHE and occasionally 2-5 NLHE. I have never seen a limit game get off the ground.

Can't offer much info about the tournaments as I don't play them.

Rake is 10% up to 6$. Check raising is now allowed. Dealers are surprisingly efficient.

Do yourself a favor and grab something to eat ahead of time. They don't offer much more than hot dogs and chips. Food and beverage is ridiculously over-priced. No smoking inside, either.

The room is kinda like being in a bomb shelter. No windows, and until just last week, the air conditioning didn't work worth a damn. However, the tables are casino sized and the chairs are OK.

I have found the games to be pretty wild, overall. There are a smattering of good players, but for the most part they really suck. Prepare yourself for wicked swings. Hopefully, you will experience the extreme upside of variance!

FWIW, Great Lakes Downs in Muskegon has action on Wednesday through Sunday, with the Saturday and Sunday cash games starting at 2 PM. Otherwise, the start at 5 PM like Delta's, which run Thursday through Sunday.

I should add that the games at the horse track in Muskegon are generally more passive, but overall infested with more solid players. In the event you smoke, you are only a few steps away from the designated area. Food and drink selection is much better, too.
