TT early in UB 200k

UTG (obeidman) raises to 70 (pot) at 10/20, unk flats from MP, i flat from the cutoff, blinds fold.

Flop JJ2 with a draw, checks to me, i bet 160 into 240, UTG folds, MP calls.

Turn 6o, he checks, I bet 350 into 450, he calls after some thought.

River 3o he checks I shove for 1600 into 1200. He covers by a smidge.

Is unk like a known player or something?

I like a bigger bet on the turn to make this shove good. As played, I like 800 on the river.

I would guess a bet of more 500-700 & be folding to a push. Lower pr`s will call this & the J will get the money in & ur still alive ! ( obv` against an unknown )

Thats the way i like to play but, many would be getting it in on T`s, ... MTTs are not my game but the less times ur all in the better imo

I don't like the shove because I don't think you're getting called here often, and based on the way the hand played out you're definitely way ahead of him. I'd much prefer a bet of about 550 to try and maximize you're value vs. 77/88.. chances are he just had a flush draw and is going away anyways though

Are you trying to get AA/KK/QQ to fold?

They almost never do.

I think you have way too much showdown value to shove the river.

I agree... I think you check behind on river, unless of course you don't value playing this tourney.

Below and Luke - I'm pretty sure this is a value shove

Goggles,

Oh this is definitely for value and to get it out of precisely sevens, eights, or nines. I don't think we get looked up by them facing a shove.

To be honest I'm scared of J9s, J10s or QJ here, who is playing tight and scared early in fear of a boat or KJ/AJ.

I think the river push might be too thin, I highly doubt we get called by worse...but I have to admit I don't know villain too much so it's not horrific.

Yea I think its a value shove as well.

I don't recognize villian but I'm pretty sure I only like 2 bets going in here. My default would be check turn and VTown river but I think I like turn better. On the river bet looks more like value and more likely to fire a second bullet on the turn.

Gators,

I wouldn't worry all that much about dude having a bigger jack.
