LOL donkaments (main event)

I [censored] hate tournaments.

Beat: Am out of the main event the first hand after the dinner break. I essentially get 30k in chips in the pot with KK vs. A9s on a 289r board. Ace on the river ([censored] you Barry).
The players there were such donkeys. Oh well, maybe next year.

Brag: Still in Vegas to party it up and drink my sorrows away. Went to Body English on Wednesday night and the host gave us a free bottle of Kettle (there were 4 of us) and a table in the middle of the dance floor.

Variance: ummm - it's 120 degrees here and the cash games are ridiculously soft?

I'll try to post later after tonight if I'm conscious...

You think that's bad?
I was in a $1 re-buy turbo tourney and lost to AJ with KK pre-flop.

Re: LOL donkaments (main event)

Here's the hand:

10 handed table.

Blinds 200-400 Ante 50 (level 4)

CO w/ 50k raises to 1500, folded to me in blind w/ KK (~28k), I raise to 4000 (a little smallish).

CO calls.

flop (~9000). 289r. I bet $7k, he thinks for 5 minutes and pushes in. I quickly call. He flips A9c, A on river for a loss.

I had AA-KK 5 times today in 6 hours of play. I only won two of those pots. [censored]...

Yeah, the overlay there has to be nice if you're decent at poker. I'm more of a cash game guy, but I'd play in this event again - it was sooooo soft. The tourney started great for me because the 5 seats to my left were empty for the first half hour. I literally had the button 6 hands in a row at a 5 handed table every round.

Can't believe people put up $10K to play in the ME when they're that bad....it irritates me a lot.
