Practical questions for day 1
 

1. Is there a problem getting a shuttle or cab from teh strip with so many people going?

2. Can you order beer or fruit juice? The waitresses seem to have mostly water.

3. What is the temperature like? Should I bring long sleeves or a light coat.

4. How many rounds are they playing? Before it said they were playing to 3 AM, but with two second days they don't have to eliminate so much of the field.

5. Is there a break day after day 1 or day 2?

Answer:

1. no problem with taxi's or buses/shuttles from airports, other casinos to rio. vegas have held much larger conventions in the past.

2.you can order beer, spirits, juice and all that. it;ll just take longer than usual so order 2 at a time.

3. it's about room temperature but i'd get a sweat-shirt just in case.

4. not sure but i think they are trying to eliminate at least 1/2 field.

5. there should have been a break day but it was replaced by the 4th day 1 group.

1. There is problem with waiting for the shuttle that comes around every 30 min, you might burn yourself to death.

3. Temperature depends on amount of people, if the room is packed, then normal clothing is fine, if its dinner break, then better put on that jacket

4. day 1 is 12:00 to 11:59
