Pokerstars has HU sng's for four players (and even more players). They have the same buy-in as a 2 player sng, but you can win 4 buy-ins (winner takes all) and thus pay less rake. You have to win 2 matches to become the winner.

If you're a winning player, you're roi can be much higher then by playing 2 player sng's I think.

Do you ever play these sng's? Why or why not?

I don't for the most part because it seems like there's usually better players in those with the same idea you have.

Yes, there was a post a few months ago about how these are a good deal for winning players. The problem is that winning players know this, and you'll often find them sitting in these (esp. for higher buyins), while the losing action junkies usually prefer to hop into a standard 2-person turbo.

Do any sites have 4-person turbos yet?

4 person turbo would be beautiful.

I play the 4 mans with a buddy sometimes and we have a deal based on where we each finish if one person wins (Stars completely allows this). It was very good to cut down on the variance and learn against a player better than me when I started playing.

I still play the 20s with my buddy sometimes for fun.

4person turbo might convince me to switch to 4mans because man that would be awesome.

Much higher variance which is a big reason to play HU sng.

there was a thread comparing the different HU sng formats. Reg, turbo and 4man. You can get a better ROI in 4mans, and I believe the $/hr was pretty close between the turbos and the 4mans. And of course the turbos have a lot less variance.

But I think if they came out with 4man turbos the $/hr would be fantastic. The variance would be bad though. meh. I'll try to find that thread for the OP.
