No Juice Satellite Tipping

I searched and didn't really find anything about this specific issue:

Winstar is having $100+$10 10-person satellite tournaments where the winner gets an entry into the $1000+$100 tournament. So, they aren't making any money off of the satellites.

In this case, what would you tip the dealer if you won the satellite? I assume multiple dealers will split the tip, probably?

Ok, let the flame war begin!

In all seriousness, tip what you want or don't tip if you dont want. It's your money and that's all. You're going to get 50 different answers from 50 different people on here and you'll be right back where you started anyways.

depends on the structure, how long it takes, how well they deal, etc.

I could easily get behind tipping $10-20/hour of table time (possibly a little more)

I would probably tip $60.

I won a $123 no juice sat (they did 10 person sats for the same $1000+$100 tourney structure except they gave 2nd a ticket for another satellite entry) for the same tribes Riverwind "storm's" tourney.. I tipped $30. Then came back and added $10 and I asked a floor guy I knew if that was OK he said it was "very generous" and "more than most tipped" for what that's worth. I think it was only 4 dealers (fast structure).

I just learned that there is an optional $10 dealer toke for an additional 375 chips. So, it should be fine to just do that and not tip if I win, right? I assume most people will do that, so it will be $100 in tips, which is about 10% of the winnings, so that should be good, right? Surely they won't expect an additional tip on top of the optional dealer toke?

yes you are fine to not tip if you pay the optional toke.

I can almost guarantee it won't all go to the dealer. All sattelites that I've ever dealt has the part of the toke (up to 40% of it) going towards the floor or TD staff.

Tip what you want, don't tip if you don't want is my standard answer.
