How do you like my play here? Should I call the all-in?

stakes?

And only way to really know to call is to sharkscope villian. If a big loser, call, if a winner, fold.

The call can be justified only if you have reads about your villain doing this with lesser than pair of queens which is quite possible. If I wouldn't have a read I'd call this if the villain was terrible player according to sharkscope. That is because I think bad player will very rarely do donk-allin for value, he usually wants you to fold. A tricky good player might do this for value because many players tend to think that kind of donk-shove is a sign of weakness.

Without a read villains overbet looks donkish and i call at $10.

I called. He showed A3o and my JJ held up.

No need to sharkscope here, the guy raised to 100 preflop at the 10-20 level.

AJ would be a tough call here, JJ though is insta calling.

Care to explain how does that raise to 100 affect on your decision making?

I won't put a number on it but most people I've played that raise to 100 PF are usually doing it with low PPs and weak aces.

That plus he's stupid enough to spew to a 5x raise preflop tells me all I need to know about his game as far as being a winner or loser.

And you checked the flop, at the 10s you get pushed on a lot by any aggressive player when checking the flop in a 3-bet pot, people get nervous in big pots and seem to think they can buy pots.

You'll see a queen here sometimes, but not a whole lot, it's usually T9 at best.

Re: [NLTRN] JJ with Q-high flop

Good points and observations ChicagoRy. After I reread that hand, I seem to have got the positions wrong. I didn't mention that check at the flop for some reason. Corrections: You're looking weak when you check the flop so I think he may be shoving with a lot of hands. JJ is better than his range most of the time so you've got to call against an obviously bad player. You could fold if you think your opponent could valueshove in this situation with pair of queens or better because he thinks you wouldn't suspect he has a good hand if he overbet shoves.
