Re: 11$ 180p, early hand QQ scary board. turn play?

First of all, bet more on the flop. I know Harrington is a fan of smaller continuation bets, but those mostly apply when it's just raise/call preflop. In this case, we have already shown the strength of our hand preflop, so I'd make it at least 400 on that flop.

Given where you ended up, I don't see how you fold to such a small bet. I see two choices, and I'm not sure which is best:

1. Raise to 600 or so. If he calls or raises, you are done putting chips in the pot.

2. Call and check-call up to 400-500 on a safe river. Lots of cards that scare you here though.

Both of them cost you about the same amount of chips when you lose. Option 1 stops him from bluffing big on the river and pushing you off the hand, option 2 makes you more money when he's bluffing.

I might also accept 3. Call and block a safe river for ~400.

Well, sometimes a flush of course. But in terms of stuff you beat, 88-JJ, AK/AQ with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 66 if he's a dink.
