$6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
Pokerstars $6.50 early, 10/20 blinds, no reads. All players have about 1500 in chips.
3 limpers, I limp in the cutoff with Ac7d, button folds, SB completes, BB checks. Pot is 120. Flop is 6c 5c 4c. Blinds check, UTG bets 100, folded to me. I raise to 300, other players fold, UTG shoves for 1500. Thoughts? |

I don't mind your line here, although a min raise might have looked stronger and also cost you a smaller portion of your stack. As played, I think I fold.

One question you have to ask yourself every time you put chips in preflop is "what kind of flop would I like to see with this hand in this situation?" Here, with all these limpers and a weak ace, the only thing we have going for us is position. An ace might be our ticket out of the tourney, no straight or flushes or strong draws can hit us, so really we need to hit 2 pair or trips to be really happy. |
Re: $6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
stop calling preflop with A-rag..I`m not sure but I think we need A10s+,AQ to do this with 3 limpers
I call flop and re-evaluate turn..I don`t like a raise here because he can easily have a made-hand or trips If we don`t improve on the turn, then I fold to a 2/3 pot-bet |
Re: $6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
anyone else calling this? we have 9 outs for nut flush, 7 if he flopped the flush, we have 8 outs to make the straight, 3 if he flopped the nut straight, and we have 3 aces if he tried to limp with something like KcK, QcQ, and then other combos to give us 2p, trips.
I would fold pf, and never rr the flop, but as played i call this push |
Re: $6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
Again, fold PF.
With a big draw, you'd rather be pushing yourself than calling a push. A raise on a flop as coordinated as this one is likely to get pushed over, which is exactly what you don't want. So call the flop. |

. fold flop. [/ QUOTE ] Folding this flop is stupid! i hope u mean the reraise. Dont play in the first place with A7. Call flop bet and revauluate on turn. |
Re: $6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
Call the flop push and hope everyone else comes along for the ride.
As for preflop, I generally try and remain tight so I don't get in compromising situations where I could lose my stack early. If your post-flop skills are good, then call and exploit your position. |
