Bluff

Live. 3 limps, SB complete and I knuckle Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB checks, I bet because it's fun and it's not too unusual for people to peel with some pair and fold to a turn bet, I have outs, and most importantly, the limpers will have undercards alarmingly often. One call and the SB calls.

Turn is the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB wakes up and bets, I think for a beat and call, call behind me. SB is pretty straightfoward.

River is a K. SB pauses and bets, I raise.

I like betting too. The SB's turn bet looks and awful lot like "huh, now that there are 2 kings on the board that agresive dude in the BB can possibly have a king and my J is good." I'd be shocked if he folded the river.

Re: Bluff

folding ev: 0 BB
raising ev: .65 BB
calling and winning with Q high: priceless

Yea, I mean, this is the deal yo. If he is bluffing a busted spade draw he dont call the raise. What hands are you trying to fold out?

Aren't you supposed to use the Zeebo Theorem (although it mainly applies to NL, but w/e) to increase EV?

Re: Bluff

I hate this. Straightforward SB isn't betting out on the turn into 2 opponents with a spade draw...he wouldn't want the hero to raise and completely mess up the odds to his (theoretical) flush. If it was HU on the turn, then I like the river raise much more...

Re: Bluff

if he folds its because he flopped a straight

What's the Zeebo Theorem?

Could be wrong, but believe it's no one ever folds a full house. Big payoffs in NL.
