Against a nit, I think he generally has a hand when he fires again on the turn. So you probably have pretty reasonable implied odds. I wouldn't raise though for that reason.

Fine, althuogh I think I'd rather raise flop than call here. K is definetely a great card to have hit the flop.

You don't even have a gutshot. I know you are floating but it's way better to have some non-zero chance of improving in case your float goes badly than to call this flop.

the flop call is crap.

With that said, you hit an almost perfect turn card. What's your plan if he checks a ragged river?

This is fine I guess, although I"m not crazy about the flop float with zero draw. You have 12 well disguised outs though on the turn as he won't expect the backdoor draws to hit. You could also possibly bluff a diamond river as you've played this just like a diamond flush draw would.

If you are going to float with air, you have to raise that turn.

As played you are pushing any river right?

Seems very bad to me. He hit the ONE card in the deck where it would suck if his opponent pushed over his turn raise.

I'd rather raise any other card, especially a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], and call this particular card.

I still think floating with complete air (not even a gut shot) is stupid spew.
