Impeach the media --- they lied to us

The media spread the false information that there were 12 survivors of the mine disaster.

Obviously they lied to us.

Obviously they should be impeached.

Obviously we should start daily threads with titles like:
"For those of you who doubt that they lied to us"
or
"Has there ever been a worse media than the 2006 media?"

For you pro-media guys, what will it take for you to admit that the media lied?

Don't give me that bit that they were just passing along misinformation they received. We've established in this forum that if you say a wrong thing, you are a LIAR, regardless if you knew it was wrong.

The media lied to us.

Where is the outrage?

No doubt Bush was complicit in the lie as well. Impeach him too.

hahahahahahahaha. Looks like someone is getting a little sensitive to those pesky things called "facts".

But let me take the Beer and Pizza approach:

The media's reports are being taken out of context. I won't explain what the proper context is or how the statements were, in fact, not lies when considered in that context, though. You'll just have to have the same level of trust and faith that I do.

Im pissed about it too. I hate faux, pmsnbc and cnn, even before this.

They are so concerned with their ratings er I mean the families that they parachute in there and interview these people who have a limited command of the english langauge with "how do you feel" etc.

There are much more important policy issues to discuss, but they spend segment after segment on this bs. Makes me sick.

Where is the humor ?

Are most of the loud Bush followers as lacking in humor as you? FYI, there is nothing funny about your post.

The two situations (i.e. Bush being a bungling moron and the misinformation about miners being alive) are not comparable -- in substance or scale.

It's one thing to get caught in the agony or the excitement of a developing story, such as the miners' tragedy, and report false news (let's call that a misdemeanor) and it's quite another thing to drag the whole United States to a murderous, counter-productive and expensive war on fabricated and false causes (I'd call that a crime).

...You gotta work on your sarcasm act.

You just don't get it!

By the logic standards in this forum --- The Media killed those 12 men!

They are murderers, they are liars.

Stop apologizing for them.

The Media killed 3,000 of our soldiers when they reported Bush's lies as gosphel.

Re: Impeach the media --- they lied to us

You joke, but it really is Bush's fault.

His Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety:

"David Lauriski, is a long-time coal industry executive and lobbyist. Shortly after taking office, Lauriski bragged to a group of coal industry executives that his regulatory agenda "is quite a bit shorter than some past agendas." Indeed, death warrants usually tend towards brevity. Part of Lauriski's abbreviated agenda is to reduce the number of times a mining company has to sample coal dust levels inside the tunnels, a move that is certain to increase incidence of black lung disease. And yes, Lauriski wants to get rid of the chest X-ray program that tests miners for black lung disease. Lauriski also wants to slash the number of mine inspectors by 25 percent."

http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphic...abig031703.jpg The media relied on the same information we did. And the minin' cump'ny had 3 hours to retract their story, and chose not to. If the media had not gotten involved, the minin' cump'ny woulda kept on lying to us.
