Bouchon dinner menu

Looks like a nice place to eat

Start with the pate

Leg of lamb with merguez sausage

Take a cheese course (one sheep, one goat, and the blue)

Make tough choice between the pot de creme and the chocolate mousse for dessert

Post trip report

The trout is great, as is the Boudin Noir. But if you want a really amazing experience, go to the original, The French Laundry (in Cali though). Yeah, Thomas Keller is g00t.

Many times I've stated how much I like this place.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the entrees. I'd go with the veal mainly because I haven't had that prep there.

Regardless of what you get, I'd order a side of fries because they are so good.

Just in case you didn't see the No Reservations spot, Keller has a very good relationship with his seafood provider and has paid medical bills for her workers. You can't beat connections like that - so I would get something from the seafood selections to start. Bourdain also was enraged at how good the fries were. He and his guest also described the cod brandade as a perfect hors d'oeuvre - it is on my list for the next time I go.

The profiteroles are one of my favorite desserts anywhere. I usually split it with my guest. Simple and perfectly executed.
