Pretty standard hand?

My first thoughts after playing this hand was that I played it right, but a player at my table said he wouldn't play it like this so I just wanted your opinion:
$50 Live tournament.
Villain is unknown, has not 3bet before.
Effektive stacks 10k

Blinds 100/200

Hero is CO with AhQd, folds to hero.
Hero Opens for 600.
Villain(SB) makes it 2000.
Hero?

Gotta let this go. If he is unlikely to be resteal 3-betting (which I think he is very unlikely to be, given your read and the fact that he is OOP), then there is no way you are ahead of his range here. Neither are you getting any sufficient overlay. I'd put him him on a range of something like TT+, AQ+. Hard when you don't have any reads though. He's most likely bad, right? Most players in a $50 live tourney will be, and those players are passive, and have even stronger ranges when they 3-bet like this. Possibly the range could even be JJ+, AK. Either way, you are behind.

Why did that other player at your table get to see your hand? If you mucked it face up, then that is pretty bad IMO.

If you 4-bet pushed, then that sounds like your girlfriend must have sendt you an sms saying she's got a surprise for you at home.

If you somehow got to the showdown, then you screwed the hand up.

No, I discussed the hand after he got raised by the same villain couple hands later, I said I folded AQ and he said he didnt think he would fold AQ in my spot.
I folded without much thought.
However, if you had seen villain do this a couple times before, would you raise back, or call here? or would you still just fold?

It's still pretty early in a tourament and given your read I think its a fold.

I think calling may the worst option. If you call and whiff what do you do when he make a c-bet? If he's capable of making a re-steal move, then re-raise. If you think he actually has the strength he's representing, fold. But calling is the worst option IMO.

If villain is a known resteal 3-bettor, then I really like the high variance but hugely +EV line of flatcalling his raise and pushing over his flop c-bet.
