64o flopped straight monotone vs 2p2er

villan is a 2p2er, i have no idea which. he has jman avatar and the name teh_pwnerer or something like that. i have not played with him before.

hero is taggy and in line at this table. we have not really tangled much, he calls my raises oop sometimes and c/f-es generally, but other than small pot tradeoffs, we have not tangled. he has been playing looser than tag game.

so, start with flop action. opening villan sucked really really bad. 2p2er is the BB.

I dislike preflop - it may seem like you're getting good odds to see a flop, but with a hand this trashy, you aren't going to hit too many like-able flops (other than the one u just hit ). On the flop I'm leading for close to pot.. I think a check here would be baaad for obvious reasons.

Bet like $15.

You absolutely have to lead. More often than not with this many callers PF you will see it get checked behind.

I'm stacking off in this situation (probably on the turn though), so I'd call any RR and open push on any non heart, non board pairing turn (it should make sense if you get raised to $60-$80 after a $20 lead).

Is preflop standard?

I think flop is a check? Seems like a decent spot to wait for a safe turn, so flop getting checked around isnt really terrible, especially because it decreases the chance someone flopped a flush.

Preflop is bad. Bet $15 on the flop.

Lead flop. Lets get money from overpairs and flush draws. The Ah has a double draw too, he's going nowhere.

this is an easy call preflop if you play decent post flop IMO.

On the flop it depends on stats and how your opponents play (obv) but generally I like to lead here. You want to stack sets/straights/Ah/made-flushes/and maybe 2 pairs right off the bat.

If its checked thru you might have a tough time getting all the money in.. especailly if the turn is a heart (and the Ah never folds the flop bet).
