Why do you say it's a donk bet? It's a good bet putting you in a tough spot. AQ9 is a draw heavy board, so I would raise him all-in.

donk bet is just a bet from some1 that has not been the agressor previously in the hand..

Probe bet maybe ? difficult spot, folding does not look bad to me.

bump, I think this is a tough spot.. I can see arguments for all three options..

You have position, he could have anything....800 into 1400 is rather weak. Your call will scare him more than anything....even if he holds a weak ace. A big bet on the turn by him and your done....anything else and go all in.

How is 800 into 1400 weak? From someone who didn't even raise preflop? It's more than half the pot. I'm not exactly sure how I'd play this spot honestly, not having any sort of read on our opponent really sucks here. He does have 20k chips in a 4/180 early on, so he's probably loose/crappy, but does OP have any read here?

In any case, our stack is really not good for this, we can't raise without risking getting pot committed. But if we push, he probably gets away from Qx and calls with most aces. And it's hard to call it WA/WB because K/T/J/8 can all complete some sort of draw.

I don't think he's on a draw, he probably bets less if he's drawing and he wants to bet. I guess push...if you call this, you pretty much have to call a bet on the turn too though.

I'd fold pretty quick and say to myself, "Thank you for letting me know you had an A." Seriously, put yourself in villain's shoes. Even in a 4/180 he isn't dumb enough to bet into a PF raiser here w/less than TP. No way. EZ Fold. That is why it is called a donk bet. Exactly these types of hands. The donkey could have made more if he checked, but instead he bet out letting you know he had you beat.

Anyhow, in an effort to follow Dan's advice today, let me ask another question to the OP. What do you do if villain checks to you?

Re: KK facing donk bet -Ahigh flop..

seke: no reads, he was just moved to table this is his first hand ive seen him play. I think we are almost never good if we push and get called here( almost cause it's a 4.40), so we are basicly turning KK into a bluff.. and we are not deep enough to call.. so this is starting to look alot like a fold now..
shermn: I check behind, Im not getting rid of any better hands, and loosing value from worse hands.

Really? I think Im betting here if he checks to me. I think it lets you see where you are at alot better. If he checkraises, I fold obv, if he just calls, u check behind on the turn unless its a King and try to get to a cheap showdown. If you check behind on the flop, and he comes out firing on the turn, what do you do then?
