Super easy call - right??
I'm pretty new to NL and I think this is a pretty easy call, but I'm not entirely sure.
Only my 5th or 6th hand at the table. 1/2NL with max $200 buy-in. I pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in LP and raise to $15 with a couple of limpers. Both call. Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] EP (he has me covered with around $400 behind) bets out $20, next guy folds and I raise to $60 (is that the right play?). He immediately shoves. Easy call? |

You played it well.

Re: Super easy call - right??
yeah easy call. likely, you are behind but you have a lot of room to catch up with the nut flush draw. nice play.
edit: didn't realize how much you raised preflop. next time, unless you're playing with a lot of calling stations, raise to like 7 or 8. it'll bode better incase you run into a better hand and get raised. |

Re: Super easy call - right??
$8 would be my standard opener w/NO limpers. Two limpers and I'm raising to $12 usually ($14 or $15 if OOP).

Call is easy, but I don't think I raise the flop.
